Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to operate and maintain CNC machines in a steel plant environment. The candidate will be responsible for precision machining of steel components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. Experience working with heavy-duty materials and familiarity with steel processing is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines for machining steel parts and components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  
• Interpret blueprints, CAD/CAM files, and work orders specific to steel manufacturing.
  
• Perform regular calibration and preventive maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
  
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect and verify part dimensions and quality.
  
• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
  
• Coordinate with production supervisors and quality control teams to address any machining or material issues.
  
• Maintain detailed production and maintenance logs in compliance with plant standards.
  
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols related to CNC operations and steel manufacturing processes.
  
• Assist in troubleshooting machine malfunctions and suggest improvements to optimize workflow.
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a steel plant or heavy manufacturing environment.
  
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation and programming, preferably with controllers such as Fanuc or Siemens.
  
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM programs.
  
• Familiarity with steel materials, their machining properties, and safety precautions.
  
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments for quality checks.
  
• Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial setting, including standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.
  
• High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under production deadlines.
  
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or CNC operation is preferred.
