CMDB Analyst

Role Overview: You will be a detail-oriented and proactive CMDB Analyst with 1-2 years of experience, joining the IT service management team at Johnson Controls. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to support effective IT asset management and service delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining the CMDB, ensuring accurate recording and updating of all configuration items (CIs). - Collaborate with IT teams to gather, document, and validate information about IT assets, services, and interdependencies. - Conduct regular audits and data quality checks to identify and rectify discrepancies in the CMDB records. - Support integration of CMDB data with other ITSM processes for informed decision-making. - Develop reports and dashboards tracking CMDB metrics, trends, and performance indicators for stakeholders. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize CMDB processes and tools. - Assist in developing and delivering training programs on CMDB best practices for team members. - Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CMDB management to recommend improvements. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - 1-2 years of hands-on experience in IT asset management or related fields, showcasing foundational understanding of CMDB principles. - Familiarity with CMDB tools and working knowledge of the ITIL framework related to configuration management processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
