Cloud SRE

Role Overview: As a Cloud SRE Network at the company, your main responsibility will be to utilize SRE practices to enhance the reliability, performance, and efficiency of the infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in supporting Skys Production and Lab Telco Cloud environments by handling incident resolution, changes, and upgrades. Additionally, you will be expected to create and update internal design documentation and leverage your Python scripting knowledge to automate manual and repetitive tasks. Collaboration with internal teams during application on-boarding will be essential, along with the development of infrastructure metrics and implementation of ways to measure and report on them. Your problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you communicate technical feedback effectively to team members, application owners, and developers. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize SRE practices to enhance the reliability, performance, and efficiency of the infrastructure. - Support Skys Production and Lab Telco Cloud environments, including incident resolution, changes, and upgrades. - Create and maintain internal design documentation. - Use Python scripting knowledge to automate manual and repetitive tasks. - Collaborate with internal teams during application on-boarding. - Develop infrastructure metrics and introduce ways to measure and report on them. - Communicate technical feedback effectively to team members, application owners, and developers. Qualifications Required: Essential: - At least 3 years of experience working in large-scale Enterprise environments. - Proficiency in managing AWS core services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, EKS. - Experience with networking concepts in AWS (VPC peering, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs, Load Balancers). - Knowledge of scaling and resilience: Auto Scaling Groups, multi-AZ deployments, backup/restore strategies. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config. - Hands-on experience with identity & access management (least-privilege IAM policies, SCP, cross-account roles, federation). - Strong experience with IaC tools like Terraform (modules, workspaces, state management, remote backends). - Experience in Linux, Kubernetes, and working on cloud-native applications. - Ability to design reusable IaC modules and enforce standards across teams. - Proficient in using CI/CD pipelines to enable secure and automated deployments with policy checks. - Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies. - Demonstrated focus on quality, reliability, and collaborative working. Desirable: - Experience in routing and switching on ipv4/v6, MPLS, BGP, QOS, Cisco IOS-XR. - Knowledge of the ETSI Mano architectural framework. - Experience with modern monitoring and logging systems such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK. - Awareness of ISP technologies like DNS, Radius, and Voice Core technologies like SBC, IMS. - Experience in building and maintaining self-service infrastructure platforms for developers. - Previous exposure to working with concourse CI/CD pipelines.,
