Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect with deep expertise in AWS application modernization including microservices architecture, container platforms, and CI/CD pipelines. This role will balance presales responsibilities with delivery execution, supporting US clients during 2 PM - 10 PM IST. The ideal candidate will help customers modernize legacy workloads into scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications on AWS, while maintaining exposure to Azure and GCP as complementary skills.

Key Responsibilities

Presales & Solution Engineering

Partner with enterprise customers to understand application modernization goals and pain points.

Design AWS-native, microservices-based architectures leveraging EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, and containerized workloads.

Build technical proposals, solution blueprints, and modernization roadmaps aligned to business outcomes.

Lead presales discussions, RFP/RFI responses, and technical workshops showcasing app modernization journeys.

Conduct PoCs demonstrating migration, containerization, and CI/CD adoption.

Delivery & Execution

Ensure smooth transition of presales designs into delivery execution.

Provide technical leadership for application re-platforming, refactoring, and container adoption on AWS.

Support delivery teams in CI/CD pipeline automation, DevOps practices, and Kubernetes-based deployments.

Drive client success through application scalability, resilience, cost efficiency, and security compliance.

Technical Expertise

AWS Cloud (Core for App Modernization)

Container & Orchestration: EKS, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes ecosystem

Microservices & Serverless: Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions

Application Services: Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFront, App Mesh

Infra & Security: EC2, VPC, IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail

CI/CD & DevOps

Pipeline automation using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, CodeBuild

Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation

GitOps and modern DevSecOps practices

Secondary Skills (lighter weight)

Multi-Cloud Awareness: Azure (AKS, Functions), GCP (GKE, Cloud Run)

Data & AI Exposure: Basic knowledge of data lakes, Redshift, SageMaker

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor s/Master s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

10+ years in IT, with 5+ years in cloud architecture and app modernization.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, EKS, and CI/CD toolchains.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (preferred).

Strong client-facing skills, able to engage CXOs, architects, and developer teams.

Nice to Have

Experience modernizing applications in finance, healthcare, or retail domains.

Knowledge of service mesh, API management, and advanced container security practices.

Exposure to event-driven and real-time architectures.
