Cloud Platform Engineering Lead

The SAP Global Systems team within IS&T runs the Operations and Financial transactional platform that powers all of Apple functions like Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Financials. Our team delivers great developer experiences to our Program, Project, and Development teams through a curated set of tools, capabilities, and processes offered through our Internal Developer Platform. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, design, and implement robust cloud-native solutions - Have hands-on understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts for designing and building scalable and resilient modern event and micro-services based systems - Understand and build features for a seamless & stable Internal Developer Portal that empowers self-service experiences for the builder community with clear, concise documentation - Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement secure and robust application architectures for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency - Use monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to continuously assess and improve system reliability and performance - Drive automation to streamline manual processes and enhance productivity across the organization - Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and standards in DevOps and cloud computing - Develop junior team member capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching Qualifications Required: - 8 - 14 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role - Knowledge of working with public cloud providers such as AWS or GCP - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant major - Understanding of networking concepts on Cloud, like VPCs/Subnets, Firewalls, and LoadBalancers - Experience in CI/CD and configuration Management systems - Knowledge of working with OS environments and good programming skills in Python, Go, or Java Additional Company Details (if applicable): The SAP Global Systems team within IS&T at Apple runs the Operations and Financial transactional platform that powers all of Apple functions like Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Financials.
