The Cloud Pak for Data team is currently looking for a Technical Support Professional to help diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex product and configuration issues to ensure our customers success in using our product. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and perform remote debugging via webEx is essential to success in this role. The ideal candidate is a fast learner and self-starter, with a good balance of technical and problem solving skills, combined with a strong desire to help our customers achieve their goals and exceed their project deadlines. Required education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise Required Professional and Technical Expertise Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field? Experience working with Linux/Unix systems, Docker and running Dockerized applications Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift technology? Strong problem solving skills, Communication and customer relationship management Skills? Ability to work in a dynamic fast pasted environment and continuously learnWork an early shift Work an alternative work week (Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday) ?Participate in weekend pager duty rotation Preferred technical and professional experience Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise Knowledge of microservices architecture and container orchestration Advanced Linux Skills Storage Skills (NFS,ODF,OCS) Cloud Computing Experience with AWS, Azure or IBM Cloud Database Skills (EDB, DB2, Oracle, MySQL)
