Cloud Migration Specialist

Job Description: The global IT services company, headquartered in Southborough, Massachusetts, USA, is looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS and Azure cloud migration, Cloud migration tools, and proficient in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server database administration. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the migration of on-premises databases to AWS/Azure, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring smooth transitions. Your key responsibilities will include planning and executing migrations of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server databases to AWS and Azure, using cloud native services/tools like AWS DMS and open-source tools, developing custom tools for large-scale data migrations, designing and implementing database migrations with minimal downtime and ensuring data integrity checks, performing database performance tuning, backups, and recovery, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve migration issues. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 3 years of AWS/Azure cloud migration experience, proficiency in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server DBA tasks, a strong understanding of database architecture and automation tools, expertise in terraform, and preferably hold AWS/Azure certification.
