Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using

  AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  .
• Implement and maintain

  CI/CD pipelines

  for application deployment and infrastructure updates.
• Monitor cloud systems for performance, reliability, cost optimization, and security.
  
• Automate provisioning and management using

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure efficient cloud adoption and best practices.
  
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
  
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  
• Manage access controls, network configurations, and identity management (IAM).
  
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and security standards.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in

  Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering

  , or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in

  cloud engineering

  ,

  DevOps

  , or

  IT infrastructure management

  .
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (

  AWS

  ,

  Azure

  , or

  GCP

  ).
• Strong understanding of

  virtual networking, storage, compute services, and load balancing

  .
• Proficiency in

  Linux/Unix

  and

  Windows

  server administration.
• Experience with

  scripting languages

  such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of

  containerization

  and

  orchestration

  tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE).
• Familiarity with

  monitoring tools

  (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
• Understanding of

  security and compliance

  principles in cloud environments.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as

  AWS Certified Solutions Architect

  ,

  Azure Administrator Associate

  Google Cloud Engineer

• Experience with

  DevOps

  tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Knowledge of

  serverless computing

  (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Run).
• Understanding of

  networking fundamentals

  (VPNs, DNS, firewalls, routing).
• Experience with

  cost management and optimization

  strategies in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with

  disaster recovery planning

  multi-cloud architectures
