Cloud Architect

Responsibilities Develop and execute a cloud technology strategy aligned with T-Systems innovation roadmap and business goals. Define and drive the development of an AI portfolio for cloud infrastructure , embedding AI-driven capabilities to enhance automation, operational efficiency, and performance. Continuously assess emerging cloud trends and technologies to ensure T-Systems remains competitive in a dynamic market landscape. Translate complex concepts— multi-cloud, hybrid, edge computing, cloud sovereignty —into business-relevant insights for executive leadership and customers. Act as a technology thought leader , influencing strategic decisions in cloud and AI adoption. Create and deliver executive-level presentations , effectively communicating technology roadmaps to both business and technical stakeholders. Collaborate closely with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and sovereign cloud partners to design market-leading cloud solutions. Evaluate and guide investments in emerging cloud technologies , including AI-powered services and infrastructure automation. Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, blogs, and technical publications . Identify and establish strategic partnerships to strengthen T-Systems' AI and cloud service portfolio. Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders , guiding cloud strategy and digital transformation initiatives. Participate in government-related programs such as IPCEI, 8ra GovTech, and Bitkom. Must-Have Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field . Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, strategy, or related domains. Mandatory presales experience in cloud or technology solutions. Proven ability in defining and executing cloud technology strategies . Hands-on experience in developing AI-driven cloud infrastructure capabilities (e.g., automation, intelligent resource scaling, predictive operations). Cloud certifications from at least one major hyperscaler: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Additional certifications in OpenStack, Kubernetes , or Sovereign Cloud are a plus. Strong understanding of cloud sovereignty , edge computing , and multi-cloud strategies . Ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions . Excellent PowerPoint and storytelling skills , with proven experience delivering to executive audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across technical and business functions.
