Role & responsibilities

Release Planning & Coordination

• Develop and maintain a release calendar for SAP AMS environments.
• Plan and coordinate release activities across multiple applications and teams.
• Lead Go-Live planning and execution, including deployment checklists and rollback strategies.

Governance & Compliance

• Chair the Release Review Board (RRB) and ensure all approvals are in place.
• Enforce release policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOX).

Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with QA teams to validate test coverage and results.
• Conduct release readiness and milestone reviews.
• Ensure completeness of transports and documentation.

Change & Incident Management

• Manage change requests and coordinate with Change Approval Board (CAB).
• Oversee incident resolution related to release failures or post-deployment issues.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Track release metrics (e.g., success rate, rollback frequency).
• Report on release performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain release repository with build procedures, dependencies, and logs.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact for AMS-related release activities.
• Coordinate with business analysts, developers, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Facilitate communication between IT and business stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 4+ years of experience in SAP AMS or IT service management.
• Proven experience in release management for enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with SAP transport management and change control processes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• ITIL v3/v4 certification.
