Cloud Architect - Mobile/web application Platform

Key Responsibilities:

• Define

  multi-environment strategy

  (Dev, Pre-Prod, Prod)

• Architectural Design & Strategy:

  Lead the design and development of a comprehensive, multi-tier cloud architecture (frontend, backend, database, networking) on Microsoft Azure that ensures scalability, resilience, and high availability for end users.

• Performance & Scalability:

  Implement auto-scaling, load balancing, and performance optimization techniques to guarantee a smooth gaming experience, even during peak usage.

• Frontend & Backend Integration:

  Understand & define how frontend clients (UI/UX) interact with backend services (microservices, APIs) and databases, ensuring robust and efficient data flow and processing.

• Azure DevOps & CI/CD:

  Establish and manage end-to-end Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), promoting automation and streamlined operations.

• Security & Compliance:

  Design and implement robust security measures, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security (firewalls, VPNs), ensuring compliance with relevant data protection standards.

• UI/UX Collaboration:

  Work closely with UI/UX designers and frontend developers to ensure the architectural design supports the desired user experience, focusing on low latency and responsiveness.

• Cost Optimization:

  Monitor cloud resource usage and optimize configurations for cost-efficiency without compromising performance or reliability.

• Technical Leadership & Mentorship:

  Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, DevOps, and operations teams, establishing best practices for cloud architecture and development.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  Act as a subject matter expert for complex technical issues related to cloud architecture, performance, and scalability.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience:

  Minimum of

  10+ years

  of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a dedicated cloud architecture and design role. Proven track record of designing large-scale, high-concurrency solutions, preferably in the gaming or high-traffic consumer application industry.

• Cloud Platform Expertise:

  Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB/SQL Database, Azure Networking (VNet, Load Balancer), and Azure Security Center.

• DevOps & Automation:

  Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including Azure DevOps, Terraform, ARM templates, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Programming/Scripting:

  Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, C#, Java, or Go for automation and customizing solutions.

• Networking & Security:

  In-depth understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, load balancing) and cloud security principles.

• Problem-Solving:

  Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset to address complex technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications:

  Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is highly preferred.

• UI/UX Exposure:

  Experience working closely with UI/UX teams and understanding the architectural implications of user experience design choices in a high-traffic environment.
