Closure Mechanism

Role Overview: You will be responsible for Closure BIW & Access systems timely deliverables of defined components such as Hood Fender, Tailgate & Latching System. Your role will involve project management to ensure delivery in line with time, cost, and quality attribute targets. You must possess extensive engineering knowledge related to design, function, performance, production, manufacturing, CAE, optical, vibration, and thermal requirements. Additionally, you will be required to manage and challenge supplier activities for smooth completion of testing within speculated timings and milestones. Key Responsibilities: - Establish, plan, and run engineering Sub-system meetings to ensure cross functional representation and input from all relevant areas. - Progress design quality maturity from initial concept through to final engineering sign-Off (FESO). - Maintain the teamwork plan aligned to the vehicle program. - Ensure Regulatory compliance of Interiors and their market-wise legal requirements. - Define appropriate engineering targets to meet function, quality, and attribute requirements for the Vehicle Program. - Develop and maintain the design validation plan (DVP) including in-house and supplier testing plan. - Troubleshoot and resolve all Validation issues. - Develop System Design Specifications incorporating engineering standards, test procedures, and material specifications. - Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, quality history reviews, and DFA/DFM reviews. - Manage Supplier(s) to ensure system/component delivery to vehicle program timing and attribute targets. - Support Purchasing team in Sourcing and RFQ activities. - Support vehicle launch and pre-production builds. - Apply APQP effectively to manage system/component delivery. - Ensure delivery of PSW from project start to sign off. - Follow and deliver company goals and strategies. - Ensure system, sub-system, and components meet DVA, Optical, and Perceived Quality targets. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in related field. - 4-12 years of experience in Closure Mechanism Engineering. - Proficiency in tools such as CATIA V6, 3DExperience, Teamcenter Visualization Mock-up, DFMEA, Agile, Scrum, RMDV, TRM, X-ray, Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word. - Excellent communication skills. - Proven project management capability. - Extensive experience in DV and PV timeline planning. - Ability to manage and challenge supplier activities. - Strong PC Literacy and CAD Literacy.,
