Job Description

The Global Client Finance (GCF) department at Mediabrands is tasked with the financial and commercial

management of the global clients which include Johnson & Johnson, Spotify, ExxonMobil, BMW, Unilever,

Sony, American Express, and others. The primary goal of this department is to drive increased global client

revenue and profitability across the Mediabrands companies. Mediabrands is a global network and the GCF

team frequently interacts with the global markets. The team is also responsible for regular reporting of

client profitability and will periodically support the Global CFO on various operational initiatives.

The Global Client Finance Analyst will support the GCF team in the overall management of global and top

U.S. clients.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monthly duties

FTE Utilization Reporting:

  • Key stakeholder in reaching out to various market leads regarding requested hours and

following up if additional commentary is needed.

  • Track ongoing hours worked by client/scope across all markets globally on select clients.

  • Ensuring the accuracy of pacing against staff plans and commentary on any instances of

overburn or under burn.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in utilization reporting is a must, particularly for reconcilable

accounts.

AVB (Agency Volume Bonus) Reporting:

  • Track global AVB returned to client two (2) times a year.

  • This includes the type of rebate, the date the AVB was reconciled, and expected timing each

market has for each client if not returned to date.

  • Must be comfortable working with various currency reporting and converting to USD.

Fee and Scope Reporting:

  • Key stakeholder in reaching out to various market finance leads regarding retainer fees and

scope of work documents.

  • Must be comfortable synthesizing and consolidating data into client-facing Excel formats.

Ongoing Review Meetings:

  • Regular meetings with GCF teams (monthly or weekly) to ensure all activities are accurately

captured and completed within deadlines, as well as to resolve any pending ad hoc queries

with markets.

Maintain Commercial Finance Folders:

  • Saving copies of all financial documents, such as scopes of work (SOWs) documents and

supporting backup information, in an organized folder structure for internal management or

client distribution.

General duties

Audits:

  • For both client and internal audits, provide any sample documents that are requested.

Training and updates:

  • Participate in training and keep up to date with any changes to processes or company

policies.

Ad Hoc Request:

  • Carry out any ad hoc requests that relate to the role or the clients for which you are

responsible.
