Job Description

As a Client Enablement and Technical Documentation Writer at Abacus Insights, you will play a crucial role in maturing the development and execution of technical and client enablement documentation for our industry-leading healthcare solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Mature the development and implementation of Abacus client enablement strategy to make product documentation a key support resource for internal and external clients. - Drive efficiencies in the client enablement process to ensure timely delivery of documentation artifacts by following a well-defined process. - Create and maintain an effective product documentation backlog that aligns with stakeholder needs while staying consistent with product delivery. - Develop accurate and easy-to-understand product documentation for technical topics accessible to clients of varying roles and skill levels. - Produce a variety of client enablement assets, including Product Overviews, Implementation Guides, API Guides, Knowledge Base Articles, Troubleshooting and FAQs, and Release Notes. - Enhance semantic standards and guidelines as a documentation Subject Matter Expert (SME) by creating templates and guidelines for consistent documentation delivery. - Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to identify and develop necessary documentation and assets to support business growth. - Measure, monitor, and analyze documentation effectiveness, engaging with key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in client enablement and training. Qualifications required for this role: - 5+ years of technical writing experience for technology and/or software products in the US Healthcare IT industry. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including the use of templates, styles, cross-referencing, table of contents, mail merge, and document automation for scalable technical documentation. - Strong understanding of the Document Development Life Cycle (DDLC) across regulated healthcare environments. - Excellent written and communication skills, with a proven track record of making complex technical concepts accessible to a non-technical audience. - Proactive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. - Knowledge of foundational software development and data management concepts, communication protocols, APIs, databases, and experience with popular public cloud services. - Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, as well as popular configuration management and document organization software such as Jira, Confluence, and Productboard. - Experience with commercial authoring tools such as MadCap Flare and Paligo. - Bachelor's Degree in English, Communication, Information Technology, or equivalent. Nice to have: - 3+ years in a senior or lead Technical Writing role. - Proficiency in prompt engineering to optimize AI-assisted authoring and review workflows. - Knowledge of Data Management and Data Management technologies. - Experience creating and curating end-user training material and assets.
