Description
As a Claims Adjuster at bp's Customers & Products Business and Technology Centre in Pune, India, you will play a critical role in managing claims related to general liability, auto liability, and property claims. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, investigating, and negotiating claims, as well as corresponding with claimants and other experts. Your work will contribute to the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation within the company. Key Responsibilities: - Review code and assign claims to diaries as needed - Act as a point of contact for field investigations and examine claim details - Determine reserves and place on claims according to authority delegation - Correspond with claimants, witnesses, and other experts during the investigation process - Negotiate claims and settlements with required approvals - Submit claims to Third-Party Claim Administrator and legal department as necessary - Communicate trends or opportunities for correction at field locations - Complete reports or analysis as directed - Interact with internal and external stakeholders in alignment with the company's values Qualifications Required: - Graduate with 2 years of claims or insurance experience - Associate in Claims (AIC) certification or related insurance industry experience is a plus - 2 years of full-time claims adjusting experience preferred - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Experience with investigation or key technical knowledge in claims management is advantageous You will collaborate with operational team members, Third-Party Claim Administrator, Treasury Team, Finance Team, Legal Team, and HSSE team to address safety-related concerns and issues. This role does not offer remote working options and may require negligible travel.
