RFEM/ SCIA Engineer

Good to have: STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, SAP2000, MFAD, LPile, Mat 3D, AutoCAD

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Civil/ Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design of structures, foundations, overhead wires, aluminum bus and/or site grading plans for electrical substations and transmission lines.

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing high voltage electrical substations structures and foundations

• Designs and interprets drawings for the following: substation structures, foundations, overhead lines, lightning protection systems, aluminum bus systems, underground pipe networks, and grading
• Reviews drawings for substation equipment, vendor supplied equipment and customer standards.
• Ensures compliance with customer specifications and design codes.
• Should have knowledge in Civil & Structural engineering including preparation of

  calculation reports

  and

  analysis of steel & concrete structures

• Independently performed

  load calculations

• Geo technical & top survey reviews & interpretations
• Thorough understanding of scope, evaluates efforts, review of inputs & adhere to the schedule
• Good to have worked on other industrial steel structures like towers, pipe racks, modular steel structures, technology structures, platforms at different levels, stair arrangement etc.
• Must be proficient with using Navisworks, AutoCAD
• Proficient with American codes and standards such as

  AISC, ASCE, ACI

  etc for Structural Design
• Understand the overall plant topography and be conversant with Engineering & Design activities involved

• Preparation of Detailed MTO

• Should have experience in handling the drafting team, to check the drawings for quality deliverables
• Proficient in both Imperial & Metric Units
• Good communication skills
