RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Civil/ Structural Designer will be responsible for creating substation field construction and manufacturing shop drawings.
• Able to self-perform 3D modelling & detailing of Structural Steel, foundations, and Miscellaneous Structural Steel like ladders, handrails, miscellaneous supports.
• Creating and/or checking general arrangement drawings
• Creating and/or checking anchor bolt plans
• Creating and/or checking foundation plans and details
• Creating and/or checking grounding plans and details
• Creating and/or checking lightning coverage (shielding) plans
• Creating and/or checking sag and tension charts/drawings
• Assembling and/or checking catalog cuts of equipment and/or material for construction reference manuals
• Creating and/or checking tube cutting schedules
• Creating and/or checking bolt counts
• Creating and/or checking structural shop and erection drawings (Ex. steel details, pfb details, etc.).
• Good experience with American codes and standards such as AISC, ACI etc.
• Well versed with all types of structural steel framings and ability to reproduce in 3D tool.
• Ability to read and understand layout and detail drawings and technical documents.
• Proficient in both Imperial & Metric Units
• Good communication skills
