ROLE

The position holder will be responsible for technical supervision of construction projects as allotted, overseeing and tasking workforce, act as technical advisor and manage day-to-day work at the site as per the work plans and schedules.

Liasioning with local departments and authorities, materials, suppliers, vendors.

KEY DELIVERABLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall execution of all construction work from its initial stages to completion for new projects as well as existing projects including maintenance and repair works, etc.
• Be available at the construction site at all times and act as first point of contact for all matters related to management /security /labour management on the site.
• Providing manpower requirements as petty vendors / Labour Day to day requirements per the day to day requirements to speed up the progress.
• Inspection of the site to task workers on work assigned, guiding them on tools and equipment to be used and handling other on-site operational issues/ queries.

Vendor coordination for procuring raw materials as per specifications. Complete control of

• inventory in order to identify any shortages/ surplus inventory of materials.
• Carefully study the drawings, layouts and check calculations for time required to complete certain tasks, quality and quantity of material required, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining delivery timelines and quality standards at the site.
• Act as technical advisor for staff, workers, sub-contractors, craftsmen; identify any gaps and address issues/ queries related to construction.
• Make estimates of material required at the site like tiles, concrete, bricks, pipes and other accessories for electric, plumbing work. Work with site in-charge to update weekly as per availability in stocks.
• Routine check-up of quality of raw materials received and used at the site as per the specifications set for structural work. Report to Site In-charge if the material doesnt meet the quality standards.
• Routine survey of the site for levelling, setting of the site and that there is no violation of rules & permits for construction at the site.
• Technical supervision of workers, contractors, and other internal and external workforce in order to track progress of work done as per designs and schedules.
• Daily reporting of work completed, specially by all external contractors. Take evidence (pictures) in case work is not done as per specification and checklist shared.
• Maintain records for all site memos and instructions, measured quantities of work and materials on site, reports & other documents and correspondence pertaining to the construction activities.
• Liaison with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quality surveyors, etc. involved in the project as and when required.
• Prepare & submit progress report and other MIS reports & maintaining site documents.
