Civil Engineer Project Manager

The Project Manager role requires you to act as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, utility companies, and internal teams. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring that projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with all permitting and utility requirements. Please note that this is not a software/IT project management position but a hands-on operations role in the solar/construction industry. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing projects from contract close to PTO, managing project timelines, and coordinating with various teams such as design, permitting, installation, and inspection to ensure project progression. Additionally, you will serve as the main contact for customers, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and resolving issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction. In terms of vendor and crew management, you will schedule and coordinate subcontractors and internal crews for site visits, installations, and inspections. It will also be your responsibility to verify the quality of work and ensure adherence to company and industry standards. Furthermore, you will be in charge of submitting and tracking permits with city/county building departments, managing interconnection applications, and communicating with utility providers. Quality control and compliance are critical aspects of the role, including reviewing installation photos and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with NEC codes, AHJ requirements, and utility guidelines. Post-installation and PTO processes will also fall under your purview, where you will oversee final inspections, address any deficiencies, ensure system activation, monitoring setup, and obtain timely PTO approval. To qualify for this position, you must have at least 2 years of experience in solar, construction, or related project management. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are essential. Proficiency in project tracking software such as Asana, Trello, Monday.com, or similar tools is also required.
