Job Description

Manager (Civil)

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and regularly report progress to senior management.

Infrastructure Design and Maintenance:

  • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to design, plan, and implement civil infrastructure projects for the distillery.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of existing civil structures, including buildings, roads, drainage systems, and utilities.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all civil engineering activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes and safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure work environment for all employees and contractors.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

  • Select, hire, and manage contractors, architects, and engineering firms for civil projects.
  • Negotiate contracts, review proposals, and ensure that contractors deliver work according to agreed-upon specifications.

Budget Oversight:

  • Develop and manage budgets for civil engineering projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report budget variances to management.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks related to civil engineering projects and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address challenges to prevent project delays or cost overruns.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, safety, and environmental teams.
  • Report progress and updates to senior management and stakeholders regularly.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Provide regular reports on project status, milestones achieved, and potential challenges.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in the industrial or distillery sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
