Role Description:

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Civil AutoCAD Draftsman based in Chennai. The primary responsibility of this role is to create detailed technical, shop, and architectural drawings using AutoCAD 2D / 3D software. Key responsibilities include interpreting designs, preparing plans and layouts, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating with engineers and architects to deliver high-quality results. Additionally, you will maintain proper documentation of all drafts and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in technical drawing and the ability to produce accurate shop drawings

- Knowledge and experience in creating architectural drawings and familiarity with general drawing practices

- Understanding of architectural concepts and principles

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

- Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry is a plus

Required Skills and Experience:

- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, essential for preparing and modifying technical drawings

- Experience with Quantity Take-off from both 2D drawings and Revit models

- Strong detailing skills for construction and architectural drafting work

- Good working knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture software

- Ability to prepare a Bill of Materials (BOM) and extract quantities accurately from 2D drawings

- Working knowledge of SketchUp for 2D visualization and conceptual design

Additional Qualifications

- Proficiency in technical drawing

- Experience with AutoCAD 2D and Revit architectural drawings, along with general drawing skills

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

- A relevant certification or degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture is preferred

Experience:

- A minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience
