Civil Apprentice

As an assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting site engineers with day-to-day supervision and site execution activities. Your responsibilities will include learning and understanding project drawings, layouts, and specifications, as well as supporting in quantity surveying, material estimation, and measurement of work. You will be expected to monitor the progress of construction, report any deviations, and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for material and work execution. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining site documentation, observing quality checks, supporting safety measures, and participating in internal meetings to understand project planning and timelines. Any other learning assignments guided by the site in-charge or project head will also be part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Assist site engineers in day-to-day supervision and site execution activities. - Learn and understand project drawings, layouts, and specifications. - Support in quantity surveying, material estimation, and measurement of work. - Monitor progress of construction and report deviations, if any. - Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for material and work execution. - Assist in maintaining site documentation such as daily progress reports, material records, and checklists. - Observe and support quality checks and safety measures at the construction site. - Participate in internal meetings and reviews to understand project planning and timelines. - Undertake any other learning assignments as guided by the site in-charge or project head. Qualification Required: - Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices. - Good analytical and problem-solving ability. - Willingness to learn and adapt to site conditions. - Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Proficiency in MS Office and basic knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred). - Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale residential, commercial, or hospitality projects. You will receive on-the-job training from experienced engineers and project managers, allowing you to understand real estate construction processes end-to-end. This position will provide you with a foundation for long-term growth in construction and project management domains. Please note that this position is an Apprenticeship/Training role on a contractual basis for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
