Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents based on drawings and specifications.
Analyze construction drawings and technical specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
Monitor and control project budgets, and forecast costs throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Conduct rate analysis for civil works including concrete, earthwork, formwork, plastering, etc.
Manage subcontractor agreements, including measurement, verification, and certification of their work.
Perform site measurement and valuation of completed works for progress billing and cost tracking.
Monitor project progress and maintain cost records, preparing monthly cost/value reconciliations.
Handle claims, variations, change orders, and dispute resolutions as per contractual terms.
Prepare and present cash flow forecasts and cost reports to management.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including contractual obligations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a similar role in civil infrastructure or construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts (FIDIC, CPWD, etc.), and valuation procedures.
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, CostX,)
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

Exposure to large-scale civil infrastructure or real estate projects.
Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract phases.
Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards.
