The Opportunity We are seeking a Founding CTO to join our core team and lead the end-to-end technology build of Univally. This is not a co-founder title, but you will play a pivotal founding role in shaping our product and tech vision from the ground up. What You’ll Do: Architect, develop, and launch Univally’s MVP platform from scratch Integrate AI features (with Elina) to personalize student guidance and recommendations Lead all technical decisions, from stack selection to deployment and scaling Build and manage a future tech team as we grow Collaborate closely with the CEO, COO, and CFO to align product and business goals What We’re Looking For Proven experience building scalable platforms (preferably in edtech, SaaS, or AI/ML) Strong skills in full-stack development and cloud deployment Passion for education, student empowerment, and global impact Entrepreneurial mindset: ready to work in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment Willingness to work full-time or part-time for equity only (no salary at this stage) Ability to commit long-term and take ownership of Univally’s tech roadmap Equity & Vesting 5% equity with a standard 4-year vesting schedule and 1-year cliff Equity vests monthly after the first year Optional milestone-based vesting: 2% upon joining and MVP completion 2% after platform launch 1% after achieving first 1,000 users or first paying university Why Join Us?
