Job Description

Role Overview: As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Clinical AI Agent Platform at RH, your mission is to lead the design, development, and deployment of a point-of-care clinical agent integrated with eClinicalWorks (eCW). Your primary focus will be on making technology decisions that improve the physician experience, enhance patient health outcomes, and ensure compliant documentation. You will be responsible for defining the technology strategy and architecture, building and leading cross-functional teams, aligning clinical and business aspects, ensuring successful execution and delivery, and maintaining governance and security standards. Key Responsibilities: - Technology Strategy & Architecture: - Own the technical roadmap including agent loops, event bus, BPMN orchestration, and data schemas. - Balance quick wins with scalable architecture for sustainable growth. - Define integration strategy with eCW through APIs, HL7/FHIR, and clearinghouse X12. - Team Building & Leadership: - Hire and mentor critical roles such as Integration Engineers, Rules Engine Developer, NLP/ML engineers, and Data & Security staff. - Build and manage hybrid teams comprising U.S. domain experts and offshore eCW engineering talent. - Establish agile practices with high accountability and clinical input. - Clinical & Business Alignment: - Collaborate with informaticist, physician champion, and billing/quality advisors. - Translate clinical workflows into technical requirements and ensure alignment with business goals. - Maintain focus on billing, compliance, and quality incentive logic. - Execution & Delivery: - Drive success metrics for the 2-week pilot including time saved, denial reduction, and quality gap closure. - Oversee integration of consultant team in Ahmedabad with U.S. leadership. - Maintain vendor relationships with eCW contacts for interface specs and compliance. - Governance & Security: - Implement auditability, provenance tracking, and secure PHI handling. - Manage risk across technical and compliance domains. Qualification Required: - Experience: - 10+ years in healthcare IT or SaaS platforms. - Prior hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks integrations or equivalent major EMR. - Proven leadership in building cross-functional teams in an onshore/offshore environment. - Skills: - Strong architecture design with expertise in event-driven, microservices, and HL7/FHIR messaging. - Familiarity with rules engines, clinical ontologies, and NLP/ML for structured clinical notes. - Excellent communication skills across clinical, financial, and engineering domains. - Personal Traits: - Pragmatic builder who values working prototypes and fast iteration. - Comfortable making tradeoffs between speed and compliance, MVP and scale.
