Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Job description:

Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Leadership:

• Develop and execute the company’s technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, advising on emerging technologies and digital transformation opportunities.
• Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee technology budgets, investments, and ROI tracking.

Technology Development & Innovation:

• Direct the design, development, and deployment of technology solutions and products.
• Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of platforms and applications.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying opportunities to integrate advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, blockchain, or automation.
• Drive innovation to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Infrastructure & Security:

• Oversee IT infrastructure management, including cloud, servers, networks, and enterprise systems.
• Establish robust cybersecurity policies, disaster recovery plans, and compliance frameworks.
• Ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance with relevant laws and industry standards.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Communicate technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Partner with vendors, technology partners, and consultants for effective solution implementation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 10–15 years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong background in software development, IT infrastructure, and system architecture.
• Deep understanding of emerging technologies and their business applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise-grade applications.
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record of building and managing high-performing tech teams.
• Other Skills:
• Strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure.
