Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Orthopedics and sports science physiotherapist with   5-7 years of experience to lead the Clinical department at Activbase in Kochi. The Orthopedics physiotherapist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the musculoskeletal system, overseeing the x-ray diagnosis team and providing support to junior doctors. Daily responsibilities include patient consultations, procedures, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

·       Masters in orthopedic physiotherapy or masters in sports science degree or equivalent with a specialization in Orthopedics

• Provide specialized consultations in general orthopedics and sports science fractures, joint disorders, sports injuries, arthritis, etc.
• Perform and supervise minor orthopedic procedures as required.
• Evaluate diagnostic tests and evaluate investigations such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans and decide treatment plans.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Oversee daily functioning and quality of the orthopedic department.
• Implement clinical protocols, safety measures, and treatment guidelines.
• Experience in Orthopedic Surgery and general Surgery
• Knowledge of Spine-related conditions and treatments
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and mentor junior doctors
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Licensed to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction
• Experience in a sports rehabilitation setting is a plus
