Chief Engineer

As the Chief Engineer at Sarovar Portico, Sriperumbudur Chennai, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel. Your role will involve ensuring the optimal functioning of utilities, safety systems, and equipment. You will need to provide hands-on leadership, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with brand standards and statutory regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage daily maintenance operations across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and civil systems of the hotel. - Lead and train the team of multi-skilled technicians, ensuring timely resolution of engineering issues. - Implement preventive maintenance schedules and energy-saving initiatives. - Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and environmental standards. - Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized services. - Innovate and implement sustainable initiatives for hotel operations. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil). - Minimum 10 years of experience in hotel engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Strong knowledge of hospitality maintenance standards and statutory compliance. - Excellent team management and problem-solving skills.
