Chief Accountant

As the Chief Accountant, your role will involve overseeing the monthly closing process, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and providing variance explanations. You will be responsible for ensuring all accounting transactions are executed accurately and within approved limits. Your duties will also include verifying the accuracy of transactions entered into the accounting system, timely preparation and reconciliation of supplier/customer invoices, proper management of student activity accounting within budget constraints, and ensuring bank balances are correctly reconciled with statements. Additionally, you will be required to prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports and meet data requirements for various departments, address auditor queries, ensure timely compliance with GST/PF/TDS, and prepare year-end financial statements. Other duties may be assigned by your seniors. Key Responsibilities: - Oversight of monthly closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance explanations - Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all accounting transactions - Preparation and reconciliation of supplier/customer invoices - Proper management of student activity accounting within budget - Reconciliation of bank balances with statements - Preparation of MIS reports and meeting data requirements - Addressing auditor queries - Ensuring compliance with GST/PF/TDS and other statutory provisions - Preparation of year-end financial statements - Any other duties assigned by seniors Qualifications Required: - Masters degree - Minimum of 10 years of experience in general accounting & tax compliances - Punctual, reliable, and strong communication skills - Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in SAP - Ability to work effectively in a team and strong problem-solving skills,
