Chemist (Milk Processing Plant)

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Chemist to join our milk processing plant. The candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical, microbiological, and quality tests on milk and dairy products to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine chemical tests on raw milk, processed milk, and milk products (e.g., fat, SNF, acidity, adulteration tests). Conduct microbiological analysis to ensure product safety and hygiene. Monitor and maintain quality parameters throughout the production process. Ensure compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and test reports. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment regularly. Collect and analyse milk samples from different production stages. Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and support the production team. Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and safety practices in the lab. Coordinate with procurement and production teams regarding milk quality feedback. Qualifications & Skills: Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Dairy Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a dairy/milk plant laboratory preferred (freshers may also apply). Strong knowledge of chemical and microbiological testing procedures. Familiarity with FSSAI standards and dairy quality norms. Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, reporting software). Working Conditions: Working Conditions: Rotational shifts may be required.
