Job Summary:

Chemical Engineer Projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Management

• Assist in developing project scope, timelines, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (procurement, safety, operations, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.

• Process Design & Optimization

• Design or review chemical process systems including PFDs and P&IDs.
• Conduct process simulations and calculations (e.g., heat/mass balance).
• Identify and implement process improvements for energy efficiency, safety, and productivity.

• Technical Support & Documentation

• Prepare technical specifications for equipment and systems.
• Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain project documentation including reports, design files, and commissioning records.

• Commissioning & Handover

• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new systems.
• Troubleshoot issues during start-up and stabilize operations.
• Ensure successful handover of project deliverables to operations teams.

• Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to HSE guidelines and industry regulations.
• Participate in HAZOP, risk assessment, and safety audits as required.

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s is a plus)

Experience

8 -12  years of experience in chemical/process engineering projects

• Experience in EPC/EPCM projects is preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, P&ID software, MS Project, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and documentation
