Assistant Manager-Process Engineering ( Chemical)

• Lead the Project from front with internal and external

communication meeting the customers tender in Process

Engineering point of view, performance along with right firsttime

approach.

• Understanding of project scope/tender documents/

• Preparation of Process and Instrumentation (PID) diagram,

Process Flow diagram, Energy and Mass balance

calculations and process calculations to customer for getting

approvals. Initiate and expedite approval on the same.

• Preparation of Process data sheets such as flare systems,

Storage Tank, Pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps.

• Pre order engineering support to Sales function providing

process calculations, PIDs and Process data sheets

meeting the tender specifications.

• Pressure drop calculations, Line size calculations,

dispersion calculation, Knockout drum sizing, water seal

drum sizing, 2 or 3 phase separator sizing.

• Resource planning in order to meet the Ontime performance

of design activities.

• Continual improvement in the processes/Products through

design standardization, design automation and product

innovation.

• Team Building and Knowledge management through

employee technical/behavioral trainings and generating

design standards etc.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Knowledge of Flare Systems, storage tanks/Vessel, 2or

3- phase separator, KOD, WSD and heat exchanger

design is required.

• Knowledge of HTRI and Flare sim/Flare Net software is

must.

• Knowledge of various national internal codes such as

API Codes, IS Codes, OISD required.

• Basic understanding on process engineering aspects

such as piping engg/ structural engg will be preferred.

• Basic understanding on electrical and instrumentation

engineering will be preferred.

• Understanding of HAZOP, HAZID and SIL study.
• Knowledge of CFD will be an advantage.(Ansys Fluent)
