Chemical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, assemble, and operate laboratory and pilot-scale reactors for chemical processes, including Haber-Bosch, water electrolysis, and Fischer-Tropsch.
• Develop and optimise process conditions for gas fermentation and renewable fuel production.
• Conduct experiments, analyse results, and troubleshoot process issues to ensure successful POC demonstrations.
• Perform financial and techno-economic analysis for process scale-up and commercial viability.
• Utilise process simulation software (preferably Aspen) for modeling, optimisation, and scale-up studies.
• Prepare technical documentation, experimental protocols, and project reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s/ PhD degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven hands-on experience with chemical process reactors and laboratory setups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of the fundamentals of Haber-Bosch, water electrolysis, and Fischer-Tropsch processes.
• Experience in gas fermentation, SAF, Bio-CNG/Biogas, or Biodiesel synthesis is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in process simulation tools (Aspen or similar software).
• Ability to perform financial analysis related to process development and scale-up.
