As a Food Preparation Associate at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat, your role is crucial in ensuring the quality and presentation standards of food items. You will be responsible for preparing special meals or substitute items, regulating oven temperatures, and maintaining proper portion control and food garnishing. Your key responsibilities will include: - Thawing frozen food items in the refrigerator and monitoring the quality and quantity of prepared food - Communicating with Chef regarding excess food items for daily specials and informing Food & Beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items - Following recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklists to prepare and cook food items, including cold foods You will also have the opportunity to assist in the management of the team by participating in hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating employees. Your role as a role model will be essential in fostering a positive working environment. Additionally, you will be expected to adhere to company policies and safety procedures, maintain a professional appearance, and anticipate guests" service needs.
