Character Designer (3–5 years experience)

• Character Concept Design

• Create original character concepts based on scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs.
• Explore multiple design iterations, from rough sketches to polished final models.
• Ensure designs reflect unique personalities, emotions, and storytelling needs.

• Turnarounds & Expression Sheets

• Develop detailed turnaround sheets (front, side, ¾, back) for animators.
• Create expression charts showing a wide range of emotions.
• Provide pose sheets demonstrating key actions or body language.

• Style Consistency & Production Readiness

• Ensure characters match the studio’s art style and maintain consistency across projects.
• Work closely with the animation and story teams to refine characters for production.
• Provide clear line work, clean color palettes, and breakdowns for use in animation.

• Collaboration

• Partner with directors and writers to bring narrative-driven characters to life.
• Adapt designs based on feedback and creative direction.
• Work in harmony with background and prop designers to ensure overall visual coherence.

• Experience:

   3–5 years as a Character Designer in animation, games, or related fields.

• Skills:

• Strong drawing and illustration skills with emphasis on anatomy, posing, and expression.
• Ability to create characters with distinct personalities and clear silhouettes.
• Proficiency in digital tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Toon Boom Harmony, or similar).

• Portfolio:

   A 

  detailed portfolio

   showcasing:
• Character concepts and iterations
• Turnarounds and model sheets
• Expression/pose sheets
• Final polished designs ready for production
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and design principles.
