Background of The Hans Foundation

The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.

Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.
Background of the Project
Project: Hans Skill Centre
THF - Skiil Centre has been conceptualized with a focus on Empowering and training underprivileged youth in various technical skills and to make them ready for jobs/self-employment.
The initiative aim to its ambitious program of 20 Swasthya cities for providing doorsteps services to urban based EWS population in metros and mini metros in the thematic areas of Health, Education, Skilling and Disability for holistic development and creating equitable society.Skilling of urban youth is extremely essential element of developing healthy and prosperous society. THF as a part of its endeavour in contributing towards nation building has taken up progressive initiative in training youth in multi skilling covering Pan India with focus on 20 Swasthya Cities.

Job Purpose
  • The Centre Coordinator will ensure smooth operations of the Livelihood Centre, managing
  • administration, logistics, and beneficiary support. Acting as the first point of contact, the role ensures youth receive proper guidance, training schedules are followed, and reporting
  • requirements are met across district, state, and national levels.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Manage centre resources (infrastructure, staff, and local partners) to deliver the Hans Kaushal Programme effectively.
  • Lead and monitor staff to achieve programme targets with high performance.
  • Oversee mobilisation, community needs assessments, skills training, counselling, and
  • monitoring placements.
  • Provide career counselling, information, and guidance to empower youth.
  • Record, analyse, and report data accurately to improve programme quality.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Coordinator to implement programme updates and ensure staff have necessary tools and training.
  • Identify and address risks that may cause youth to drop out of the programme.
  • Build and maintain employer networks to secure placement opportunities.
  • Manage mentoring arrangements and support mentors as required.
  • Coordinate training scheduling to ensure batches start and complete on time, timetabling, and beneficiary activities.
  • Maintain attendance logs, centre assets, inventory, and procurement records.
  • Handle logistics, petty cash, and ensure upkeep of the centre.
  • Prepare and submit timely monthly reports to higher offices.
  • Act as the front-facing representative of the centre, addressing queries and guiding beneficiaries.
  • Team-oriented and able to follow programme SOPs and tools consistently
Desired Competencies 
Strong knowledge of Excel and computer applications. 
Ability to multi-task and manage people, time, and resources effectively. 
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with professional-level English. 
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. 
Team player with the ability to manage front-desk and people interactions. Well-organised with good time management skills. 
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required. 
Ability to collect, analyse, and report programme data and indicators accurately.

Qualifications 
Graduate in any stream 
Relevant qualification in Excel, data management, or reporting will be an advantage. 
Prior experience in administration, logistics, or training centre operations is preferred. 
Minimum 3 years of experience in the Skill Development sector, with at least 2 years in
a leadership role. 
Ability to multi-task, manage people, time, and resources effectively. 
Strong people management and communication skills. 
Proactive, with a problem-solving, can-do attitude. 
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. 
Well-organised, with excellent time management and attention to detail.
