Central Material Planner Service Operations

Role Overview: You will be joining Alfa Laval as a Central Material Planner in the Service Operations team. Your primary responsibility will be to build and manage forecasts for major components, identify and mitigate risks related to parts availability, reduce manufacturing process takt time through proper material planning, and coordinate with order handling teams for accurate information in the ERP system. Additionally, you will lead improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain performance and oversee exchange components within service operations. Key Responsibilities: - Build and manage forecasts for major components in collaboration with Business Units, Internal Customers, and Service Agreement Managers. - Identify and mitigate risks related to parts availability and supply gaps. - Reduce takt time on the manufacturing process by proper planning the material. - Coordinate with order handling teams to ensure accurate, up-to-date information in the ERP system to support planning and execution. - Lead improvement initiatives focused on optimizing supply chain performance, including controlling slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory. - Analyze the cost implications of proposed measures and ensure cost-effective delivery. - Oversee and manage exchange components to ensure availability and turnaround efficiency within service operations. Qualifications Required: - B.E. preferred or any Grad degree - Experience with ERP systems - Hands-on experience with Excel & PowerPoint - Willingness to travel frequently Additional Details (if any): The market dynamics require the manager to closely monitor market conditions and coordinate with stakeholders. Travelling is essential as the role covers a wide geographical region, with maximum time spent at the customer's end. The role demands the ability to withstand work pressures.
