Job Description

As a Center Coordinator at Child Development Centre located in Thanal CDC, Perumathura, your role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center. You should hold a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or Sociology (MA) and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity. Your responsibilities will include managing services for children with developmental delays or disabilities, maintaining efficient communication with families and staff, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the center. This position calls for strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for program management, ensuring the smooth functioning of activities at the Child Development Centre. This involves coordinating with therapists, teachers, and caregivers to implement individualized development plans for each child and enhancing the quality of services provided. Additionally, you will supervise and support a multidisciplinary team, conduct performance evaluations, and assist in staff recruitment and training. Acting as the primary point of contact for families, you will keep them informed about their child's progress, program updates, and available resources. Developing support groups for parents and families of children with developmental challenges and guiding them on accessing support services will be part of your role. Administrative duties such as managing scheduling, record-keeping, and budgeting, as well as collaborating with external partners like hospitals, clinics, and schools for referrals and support services, will also fall under your purview. Your contribution to program development and evaluation will involve creating new services that align with the changing needs of children and families. Regularly assessing the effectiveness of existing programs, collecting feedback, and identifying areas for improvement will be crucial. Advocating for children's developmental rights, promoting awareness of child development issues through various outreach activities, and possessing strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills will be essential for success in this role. Additionally, effective verbal and written communication, the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and knowledge of child development theories and interventions for children with special needs are key requirements. Familiarity with social service systems, including disability services, education, and healthcare, will also be advantageous.,
