Job Description

DAV Sr. Secondary school, Mogappair is looking for CDT - Library Professional to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey

Library Management:Supervise daily library operations, including cataloging, shelving, and circulation of materials
Maintain an organized and user-friendly library layout
Acquisition and Collection Development:Coordinate the acquisition of new materials, including books, journals, and digital resources
Assess and enhance the library collection to meet the diverse needs of users
Information Literacy:Develop and implement programs to enhance information literacy skills among library users
Provide guidance on effective research methods and the use of library resources
User Services:Assist library users in locating resources, conducting research, and utilizing library technology
Respond to inquiries and provide support for library-related services
Technology Integration:Stay updated on emerging library technologies and recommend their integration for improved services
Manage and troubleshoot library software and systems
Collaboration:Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to understand their information needs and support academic initiatives
Participate in curriculum development to align library resources with educational goals
Promotion and Outreach:Promote library resources and services through outreach programs, workshops, and promotional materials
Engage with the community to increase awareness of library offerings
Budget Management:Participate in budget planning and allocation for library resources
Monitor expenditures and optimize resource utilization
