Job Description

DAV Sr. Secondary school, Mogappair is looking for CDT - Theatre Professional to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey

Production Coordination:Coordinate and manage all aspects of theatrical productions, from planning to execution
Collaborate with directors, designers, and technical staff to ensure seamless production processes
Scheduling and Logistics:Develop and maintain production schedules, including rehearsals, set construction, and performances
Coordinate logistics, such as equipment setup, costume fittings, and backstage arrangements
Budget Management:Work within budgetary constraints, providing cost estimates for productions and monitoring expenditures
Collaborate with the finance team to manage financial aspects of theatrical productions
Casting Assistance:Assist with the casting process, including organizing auditions, communicating with actors, and facilitating casting decisions
Collaborate with directors to ensure a diverse and inclusive casting process
Technical Support:Liaise with technical teams (lighting, sound, set design) to ensure all technical aspects of the production are coordinated
Oversee the setup and operation of technical equipment during performances
Event Promotion:Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to promote upcoming theatrical productions
Coordinate promotional events, such as previews or behind-the-scenes tours
Front-of-House Management:Oversee front-of-house operations, including ticketing, ushers, and audience services
Address patron inquiries and concerns during performances
Collaboration with Educational Programs:Coordinate with educational programs to provide opportunities for students interested in theatre
Facilitate workshops and mentorship programs as needed
Post-Production Evaluation:Conduct post-production evaluations to assess the success of each production
Gather feedback from the creative team, performers, and audience members for continuous improvement
