Cdp is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, such as grill, sauce, or pastry, where they prepare and cook dishes to high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Key duties include preparing food according to recipes, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, managing ingredients and inventory for their section, and supervising and training junior chefs. A successful CDP ensures smooth kitchen operations, collaborates with other kitchen staff, and contributes to menu development.
