EY GDS Content Pillar at BMC in GDS is a fast-growing team of talented copywriters, editors, content strategists, thought leadership writers, technical writers and editorial managers. People in the team provide support for key global EY publications, campaigns and social media programs. The Assistant Director Content Strategy is a high-impact role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on content execution. Ideal for a content leader who understands the power of storytelling and can align it with business priorities, this role demands both vision and precision. Youll be responsible for shaping narrative direction, leading large teams and complex projects, and delivering high-value, on-brand content that helps EY stand out in the marketplace. Youll also write, edit and guide editorial efforts to ensure every piece of content drives impact and reflects EYs purpose. You bring proven stakeholder management skills, collaborating closely with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, data analysts and creative partners. Your key responsibilities
Understand business priorities and audience expectations to shape tailored content strategies Translate complex requirements into compelling narratives that align with business goals and brand voice Demonstrate strong research capabilities and a deep curiosity to explore new topics, industries and trends to inform content strategy Build tailored LinkedIn strategies, leveraging platform best practices to deliver high impact thought leadership content with distinctive points of view Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, guiding content decisions that drive business outcomes Drive the delivery of high-quality, market-leading content services across multiple formats and platforms Interpret data and report success metrics using decks and dashboards to communicate performance insights and inform strategy decisions Create external and internal B2B content, including newsletters, mailers, EY news articles, videos, posters, flyers and brochures Edit content to ensure quality, consistency and alignment with organizational purpose and editorial strategy Repurpose and adapt content to suit different channels and audience segments Provide content and editorial management support for high-visibility EY programs and campaigns Review work of other writers and editors, and provide objective unbiased feedback
Skills and attributes for success
Astute understanding of content strategy and principles, evolving digital communications, and business sensibility Excellent communication (comprehension, verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and persuade Proficient in building relationships of confidence and trust with all senior partners Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and deliver clear, actionable insights Awareness on market trends, developments and best practices in the content space Adept in creating engaging, inspiring and persuasive B2B content Ability to understand and articulate complex business ideas in an engaging, audience-friendly style Exceptional attention to detail
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelors or masters degree in English literature or mass communication At least 12 years of related experience
Ideally, you will also have
Experience in agencies, publishing houses, large corporate environments or Big Four firms Aptitude and willingness to continually expand your core skillset
Technologies and tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat/PDF-Xchange Familiarity with platforms such as LinkedIn, Adobe Analytics, Hootsuite and others is a plus Knowledge in Project Management tools and methods
