Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Implements and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing, cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, and other interventional procedures.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including cardiac and neurological evaluations.

Administer medications,including sedatives and pain management agents, as per protocol.

Monitor and document patient vital signs, neurological status, and response to treatment during procedures.

Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for procedures.

Assist cardiologists and other team members during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including setting up sterile fields, handling instruments, and operating specialized equipment.

Ensure the availability and proper functioning of all necessary equipment and supplies.

Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control policies and procedures.

Prepare and manage medications used during procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 2 years of experience as Cath Lab Staff Nurse from any Quaternary care Hospital.
