As a Category Manager for Loose Furniture & Furnishings in Gurgaon, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction across both offline and online channels. Your responsibilities will span from category strategy and planning to vendor management, pricing, promotions, and sales forecasting. To excel in this role, you will need a blend of strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the furniture/home dcor industry. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute growth strategies based on market trends, customer insights, and business objectives. - Forecast sales and plan inventory to ensure optimal stock levels. - Curate the right product mix to meet customer needs. - Identify, onboard, and manage vendors; negotiate contracts and pricing terms; maintain strong supplier relationships. - Define competitive pricing strategies based on market research and competitor benchmarking; plan and execute promotional campaigns. - Monitor sales performance and category KPIs; use data insights to identify gaps and opportunities. - Work with content and design teams to ensure accurate, appealing product listings; optimize product descriptions, images, and specifications. - Manage performance across offline stores and e-commerce marketplaces; align pricing, assortment, and promotions for each channel. - Analyze customer reviews and market feedback; drive initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction. - Define quality benchmarks for furniture and furnishings; ensure vendor adherence to product standards, installation feasibility, warranty norms, and after-sales protocols. - Partner with marketing, operations, finance, and technology teams to align category initiatives with overall business goals. Qualifications: - Proven experience in Loose Furniture and Furnishings category management. - Strong background in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation. - Excellent analytical skills to interpret market trends and customer preferences. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. - Experience in the furniture or home dcor industry is essential.
