Category Buyer - Electronics Parts

As a Global Category Buyer / Supplier Key Account for commercial purchasing of Electronics parts at Veoneer in Bengaluru, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting and collaborating with all stakeholders at both regional and global levels for the procurement process, supplier management, project management, and data management. Key Responsibilities: - Manage commodity / category effectively - Implement strategic sourcing, vendor management, and direct & indirect procurement strategies - Oversee supplier selection and management including qualification, consolidation, and phasing out - Handle purchasing and vendor management specifically focusing on Electronics - Conduct negotiations and prepare sourcing decisions - Convert PRs to POs and release POs within defined turnaround time - Achieve cost savings and cost avoidance targets to ensure financial performance - Maintain supporting documentation for all purchase-related activities in compliance with internal control audit requirements - Conduct supplier surveys and develop plans to enhance supplier performance - Collaborate with other category buyers and engineering teams on IT / RD&E Tools & Services sourcing matters - Manage contracts for professional services, tests & labs, travels, IT, logistics, and admin activities - Lead due diligence and escalation management on a day-to-day basis related to PRs, POs, and sourcing activities Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech),
