Cashiers manage all types of payments including cash, credit/debit cards, digital wallets, and checks.
They ensure that the billing process is accurate, reflecting the correct prices, discounts, taxes, and charges.
They issue receipts for every transaction and ensure they are accurate for both the customer and accounting records.
Cashiers help with inquiries about product pricing, payment options, and other purchase-related questions.
Address and resolve customer concerns or refer them to the appropriate person if needed.
At the end of the day or shift, they balance the register by comparing the total payments received with the sales data.
Occasionally, cashiers may update the system for inventory sold and returned items, reflecting real-time stock levels.
Work with the showroom staff to ensure the stock matches the sales for accurate inventory records.
Provide daily transaction reports, reconciliations, and any discrepancies in sales data.
