Job Summary:

As a Cashier at [Chaudhary Lifestyle], you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to customers at the checkout. You will be responsible for accurately processing transactions, handling cash, and maintaining a clean and organized cashier area. Your role is vital in delivering a positive customer experience while ensuring the efficient operation of the store's checkout process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly and provide them with outstanding customer service.
• Address customer questions, concerns, and returns in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide information about store promotions, offers, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude, ensuring customers have a pleasant shopping experience.
• Cash Handling and Transactions:
• Accurately process customer purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and digital payment methods securely.
• Provide correct change, receipts, and process returns or exchanges according to company policies.
• Ensure that all transactions are completed efficiently and without errors.
• Register and Store Maintenance:
• Maintain an organized and clean cashier area, ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is operational.
• Monitor and report any issues with the POS system, registers, or other equipment to management.
• Ensure the checkout area is free from clutter and safe for customers and staff.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth store operations.
• Support colleagues in other departments when needed, such as assisting with restocking or maintaining store displays.

Key Requirements:

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions accurately.
• Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage customer complaints professionally.
• Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and peak shopping seasons.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
