Carpenter Job Description: We are looking for a skilled carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry work. He will be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing and maintenance of various structures, fixtures and furniture items. Other duties will include sourcing, designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to clients’ requirements. Responsibilities: Ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements. Handling structural design, planning, layout, and installation. Lay out flooring, roofing or drywalls. Sourcing materials, preparing estimates and undertaking site visits. Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. Conduct repair work and installation of various school/campus furniture and fixtures as required. · Receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers. Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials. Ability to operate tools, machines and other equipment. Requirements: Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry.
