Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and congenital heart defects.
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, including ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and cardiac catheterization.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans and recommend lifestyle modifications to improve patient heart health.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including internists, cardiac surgeons, and rehabilitation specialists to provide integrated care.
- Provide emergency care to patients presenting with acute cardiac conditions such as myocardial infarction or cardiac arrest.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring high standards of patient safety and care.
- Stay informed about recent developments, best practices, and innovations in cardiology through continuous learning and professional development.
- Educate patients and families about cardiovascular diseases, treatment options, preventive measures, and medication adherence.
- Participate in hospital rounds, medical conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Education: MBBS and MD/DNB in Medicine with DM/DNB in Cardiology (recognized by the Medical Council).
- Experience: 2-7 years of hands-on experience as a Cardiologist in a reputed hospital or healthcare setup.
- In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, diagnostics, and interventional cardiology procedures.
- Proficiency in using and interpreting results from advanced diagnostic tools such as echocardiograms, stress tests, angiography, and cardiac imaging systems.
- Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure medical scenarios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassionate approach and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Up-to-date registration and valid medical license to practice.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in performing or assisting in interventional procedures such as angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, or electrophysiological studies.
- Familiarity with cardiac rehabilitation programs and preventive cardiology initiatives.
- Research interest or publications in cardiology-related journals will be an added advantage
