Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Provide first aid and basic medical care to students, staff, and visitors.
Handle medical emergencies and coordinate referrals to nearby hospitals when required.
Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and health reports.
Monitor students with chronic conditions and provide ongoing support.
Administer prescribed medications as per medical guidelines.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper functioning of the campus infirmary.
Conduct basic health check-ups (BP, temperature, glucose, etc.).
Assist in organizing health camps, vaccination drives, and awareness programs.
Follow university health policies and standard medical protocols.
Coordinate with doctors, ambulance services, and hospital authorities as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma / B.Sc. in Nursing (GNM or equivalent).
Valid Nursing Council Registration.
13 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, school, or institutional setup (preferred).
Knowledge of first aid, emergency care, and basic life support (BLS).
Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work in shifts (if required).

Preferred Skills:

Experience in educational institutions or campus healthcare.
Basic computer skills for maintaining health records.
Empathy, patience, and student-friendly approach.
